More stories and inspiration from our wellness world
September feels like a fresh start for many people. Summer is slowly coming to an end, vacations are over and the regular rhythm kicks back in. Calendars fill up, appointments are scheduled and before you know it there's little room left for time for yourself.
That's exactly why wellness september is a good moment to pause. What gives you energy, what do you need, and perhaps the most important question: when do you actually take time for yourself?
A fresh start doesn't have to begin with big changes. Sometimes it starts with something small: consciously making a moment to relax.
We easily make time for work, appointments and others, but time for ourselves is often only scheduled if there happens to be a gap left over.
Turn it around and plan relaxation just as consciously as the rest of your agenda: a walk, an hour of reading, a quiet morning or a day when you don't have to do anything. It doesn't have to be complicated, it's mainly about giving yourself the space to step out of the daily hustle.
Because taking time for yourself is not a luxury. It's a way to catch your breath now and then.
A full schedule doesn't automatically mean you're spending your time well. Sometimes it actually helps to not do something.
Say no to an appointment you don't really have energy for, put your phone away more often or leave a household task for another day. Not everything needs to be done right away.
By consciously making space, space for rest also emerges. And it's often in those quiet moments that you notice again what you need.
Relaxing is more than just sitting on the couch. Sometimes it helps to literally step out of your daily environment, and a wellness day is a great example of that.
No work, no errands and no full schedule, but time to slow down: warmth and peace in the sauna, cool off and then relax. You don't have to go anywhere.
It's precisely the alternation between exertion and relaxation that helps you break out of your daily routine. A visit to the sauna or wellness at Saré is therefore not only a nice way to relax, but also a conscious moment of time for yourself.
A fresh start is also a good time to discover something new. It doesn't have to be big at all.
Try a new sport, read a book by an author you don't know yet, take a walk somewhere you've never been or book a treatment you've been curious about for a while.
New experiences give your attention something else to focus on. And sometimes that's exactly how you discover a new way to relax.
Perhaps the most important: don't wait until your schedule is empty, your vacation starts or you realize you really need rest.
Time for yourself doesn't have to be an exception. A small moment of peace on a busy day can already make a difference, and taking a bit more time for yourself now and then helps you consciously step out of the daily routine.
That can be at home, out in nature or during a wellness day. The most important thing is that you choose a moment when nothing has to be done.
A fresh start doesn't mean everything has to be different. Sometimes it simply means you take a new look at what's important to you.
Maybe that's more peace. Maybe more time for yourself. Or maybe just being more conscious and pausing more often.
So take a look at your schedule this wellness september. Not just at everything that needs to be done, but also at where you can make room for what you need.
Because sometimes a fresh start doesn't come from doing more, but from simply pausing. Book your moment at Saré and give yourself the time you deserve.
